Strawberry Cream of Wheat is a definite must, if you haven’t tried it. Adding in the fresh (or frozen) strawberries with vanilla is a perfect pairing to start the day off. It not only smells delicious, it looks great – with the light pink coloring from the strawberries. Another comfort food, so I paired it with a great song to remind us to try new things and be adventurous with food and throughout our day! I hope you have a great day today!

Ingredients:
4 cups milk
2 Tbsp vanilla
2 Tbsp butter
Dash salt
1 cup plus 2 Tbsp cream of wheat
1 cup chopped strawberries (fresh, if you have them)
Toppings:
- Butter with brown sugar
- Greek Yogurt
- Cream and brown sugar
Directions:
In large pot, heat milk, vanilla, butter and salt. Once milk starts to bubble on sides, start to slowly whisk in the cream of wheat until it thickens – takes 3 – 5 minutes. Add more milk if you like it creamy or more cream of wheat if you like it thick. Add in the strawberries, and keep stirring until the berries soften.
Top with one of the toppings and add extra cream or milk if you like it thinner.
