“Let’s take our time, to say what we want. Use what we got, before it’s all gone”. This is a breakfast dish to make the night before. That gives you extra time in the morning to enjoy it with loved ones, take your time and enjoy your meal and conversation… how often do we get that luxury? Not often enough. “Make the most of the minutes” you have before you all rush out the door for a great and wonderful day!

Ingredients:

1 cup Greek yogurt (vanilla)

2 cups milk

8 Tbsp maple syrup

2 tsp vanilla

1 Cup old fashioned oats

8 tsp chia seeds

1 tsp cinnamon

Dash cloves

Extra syrup for topping

4 plums, washed and sliced into 6 pieces each

Whipped cream

Directions: The night before you want to eat these, turn oven broiler on. Line a baking sheet with foil and single layer the plum slices on it. Broil the plums for 10 minutes, watch to ensure they do not burn. Let them cool, then cut them into small chunks, reserving some for garnish.

In bowl, mix yogurt, milk, syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves well. Mix in oats, cooled plums and chia seeds. Reserve a few plums for a garnish. Pour into four glass jars or large glasses and cover with saran wrap or lids. Place in fridge for 4 hours, or overnight. Top with whipped cream, drizzle with extra syrup and extra plums.
