I just discovered dump cake recipes and this is the first that I have tried! So easy, so fast, so delicious! Since these make me happy, I decided to pair it with a “dumped” song to pick up anyone going through a broken heart… I hope it passes and you are happy again – this cake might help, a little?
Music Selection: Joan Osborne – What Becomes of the Broken Hearted

Ingredients:
2 large apples (granny smith), peeled, cored and diced
2 large pears, peeled, cored and diced
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon or English mixed (pudding) spice
1 cup yellow cake mix
½ cup butter, cold and cut into small cubes
6 Tbsp chopped pecans
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 deg F.
Butter 4 individual size ramekins that are ovenproof.
In large skillet, melt butter and saute the apples and pears for about 5 minutes. Add brown sugar and cinnamon and mix well. Saute for another 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
Evenly distribute the fruit in each ramekin.

On each, evenly put ¼ cup yellow cake mix. Then sprinkle on 1/8 cup of the butter cubes on each. Top with chopped pecans.
Bake in oven for 30 minutes.
Serve with whipping cream or ice cream!
