If you are looking for an “out west” meal that is great for a BBQ party, then look no further. This is also a great keto recipe! Easy to make, very healthy and delicious.
Music Selection: The Chicks – Wide Open Spaces

Ingredients:
6 large burger buns
2 lbs ground bison
1 small onion, diced finely
Olive oil
3 cloves garlic
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ – 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)
2 Tbsp dried parsley
2 eggs
1 cup panko (or finely ground pork rinds if on keto)
Toppings: cheese slices, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, relish, slices of onion, pickles, tomato, lettuce
Directions:
Preheat BBQ to 350 degrees if using a BBQ.
In large frying pan, heat the olive oil and saute the onions and garlic until they are caramelized. Let cool.

In large bowl, mix the bison, Worcestershire sauce, hotsauce, parlsey, eggs and panko/pork rinds. Add in the cooled onions and garlic. Mix well.

Form into 7 – 8 patties that are about 5 inches in diameter. They will be soft.
You can then fry these in a pan with some olive oil or put on the BBQ. Do not flip them until they are nearly cooked, so they bind. Cook thoroughly.

Place on toasted buns and put on your favorite toppings. Enjoy with coleslaw or potato salad.
