Music Selection: Sade – No Ordinary Love
Such a simple dessert that is extraordinary and you will LOVE it… like Sade – smooth, calming and peaceful.

Ingredients:
Budino:
1 cup cornmeal
4 cups water
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon juice
¼ tsp salt
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 can dulce de leche or sweetened condensed milk (300 mL)
Plum Sauce:
14 – 15 medium plums, cut into small wedges
1 Tbsp vanilla
¾ cup sugar
Dash of ground cloves (1/8 – ¼ tsp)
Directions:
In a large sauce pan, bring ¾ cup sugar, and ½ of the plum sizes to simmer with the vanilla and lemon juice. Cook until thickened and fruit is falling apart (10 – 15 minutes). Add in remaining plums, and cook another 10 minutes. Remove from heat.

In another sauce pan, boil the 4 cups of water.
Whisk in the salt and the cornmeal, and keep whisking to ensure no lumps. Reduce heat and whisk while it cooks until polenta is thick and cooked (15 – 20 minutes). Remove from heat and add in the vanilla and can of dulce de leche. Whisk until well mixed. Add in the brown sugar to taste (less if you don’t want it too sweet).

To serve, scoop budino in a bowl, place a large scoop of vanilla ice cream and top with warm plums.
