Heat up the BBQ fire and enjoy these healthy, tasty, irresistible burgers.
Music Selection: Pointer Sisters – Fire
2 lbs ground turkey
1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh rosemary
1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh thyme
1 finely chopped green onion
2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 cup panko bread crumbs
1/2 cup crumbled goat cheese or feta
6 buns, toasted
Toppings: mayonnaise, mustard, tomato slices, lettuce, red onion slices, Monterey jack cheese slices and fresh pickled cucumbers
Heat BBQ to 350 degrees.
In a bowl, mix turkey, rosemary, thyme, onion, eggs, worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, bread crumbs and goat cheese. Salt/pepper well.
Form into hamburger patty sizes a little larger than your bun – you should be able to make 6 – 8 patties.
Place on barbeque and cook thoroughly.
When done, put on plate. Quickly toast buns on bbq.
To make – on buns, put mayonnaise, mustard, then the patty. Top with Monterey jack cheese slice, red onion, fresh pickled cucumbers, tomato slices and lettuce. Enjoy with a cold beer!
