Time: 10 minutes

Our New Years’ Eve tradition has been the same for many years now… we stay home and have a fancy dinner, usually with some type of seafood (lobster or crab or scallops), steak and a fancy dessert (fondue, pear souffle). This year, we did lobster on the BBQ. Now, we are not a board game family, in that we do not play board games, often…. but we do New Years’ Night. Usually it is a long game of Risk or Zombie-opoly. This year, we changed our plan and had friends over – we played Ticket To Ride…. A great game. Now, this type of New Years might “Not Impress” you “Much”, but we like to take it easy and finish/start each year together, eating great food, listening to great music and having a great time, laughing and celebrating…. We wish you a Happy New Year, too.
Music Selection: Shania Twain – That Don’t Impress Me Much
Ingredients
8 lobster tails (or 1 per person)
1 cup butter
2 cloves garlic
Directions
Heat barbeque to about 350 deg F.
Take lobsters and cut with scissors, the underside of the lobster, so it does not curl while on the grill.
Place on bbq and grill on each side for just a few minutes (not even 5 minutes per side), once the shell turns a bright red, it is done. Remove from heat.
Melt butter and garlic in microwave, in little dipping pots or sauce pan. Pour butter in little ramekins for each person to dip their lobster in.
Use forks to remove the meat from the lobster, dip in the garlic butter and enjoy!
** To boil lobster, heat a large pot with water and several Tablespoons of salt. Boil for 5 – 10 minutes, depending on the size of your lobster. They are done when the shell is bright red.
Serve with steak and Herb Infused Baked Potatoes.
