Music Selection: Pentatonix – Can You Feel The Love Tonight?

Ingredients:
1 angel food or pound cake (baked and cooled), cut in to 1 inch cubes
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1 small package strawberry jello (85 g/3 oz)
1 cup boiling water
2 cups whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
3 Tbsp sugar
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup fresh raspberries
¼ cup sherry or brandy
1 can (400g) Devonshire cream (or 2 cups birds custard or 2 cups vanilla pudding)
Directions:

In large bowl, beat the whipping cream, vanilla and sugar until soft peaks. Set aside.
In a small bowl, mix the boiling water and jello. Mix until all sugar dissolves.

In a flat bottom, clear bowl, evenly lay ½ of the cake so bottom is covered. Sprinkle 1/8 cup of the brandy on the cake.
Layer the strawberries on the cake. Sprinkle ½ of the warm jello mix over the strawberries.
Pour the custard over the strawberries and smooth out so evenly covered.

Place another evenly laid layer of cake. Sprinkle with remaining brandy.

Cover the cake with the raspberries and blueberries. Sprinkle remaining jello on top.
Cover the rest of the cake with the whipping cream. Cover with plastic wrap and set in fridge for several hours. When ready to enjoy it, decorate it with additional strawberries. Enjoy with a lovely cup of tea (with a drop of sherry in it?)
